As far as I can tell you

As far as I can see

The children will remember

December ’53.

For Santa Claus came early

At least to Aughnacloy

And brought with him a present

For every girl and boy!

He couldn’t come with reindeer

He came by bus instead

As soon as he alighted

To him all the children fled!

He gave to each a present

And he charged a bob a time

And really they were worth it

For the presents were divine!
