On that trip we met a silly old trout with some high-fluting airs
With her Irish maid at her beck and call she attracted some heavy stares!
She told Phylis that she had no time to go home to "change her drawers!"
As she was "auf to Marrakech" - if you ask me - best place for that dinasaurus!!
She received a call from her real good friend whom she called "Aud-ray Dar-link"
Well - when we heard this we laughed out loud as we tipped each other the wink -
For the rest of that trip we couldn't help but constantly take the piss
And it became a standing joke for evermore between Cora and Phylis!!
The Gibraltar Rock was our next big trip and it rained at the start of the day
But it soon cleared up and we all strode off to find some bargains on the way.
Well some bought fags and some bought booze and we scanned every shop in town
And we all agreed it was a long haul up - flipping longer coming down!!
Next we spent the day in a market town where we visited every stall
We bought loads of shite! as souvenirs to be given out to one and all
And where Roisin pulled her little trolley - piled high with all our bits -
The first time we saw that thing -sure - it had us all in fits!!!!
Then Eileen said "Where shall we go for another great day out?"
We couldn't decide to head up North or perhaps to go down South.
So we went to the station the very next day and we jumped on a big green bus
And we headed off in our best sun tops up the mountain to a place called - Mijas!
We saw the Church and the Big Bull Ring and we ate some Italian food
We bought more gifts and we had great laughs - that whole day was bloody good!
And when the night-time came we drove back home in the chilly evening air
We each thought "It's been a wonderful time and what memories we can share!"
I've never had a break before which I've enjoyed quite as much as this
And it's all because of Eileen, Roisin and my new friend called Phylis!
I want to thank them all for giving me so much laughter and such fun
And I hope that we can go again to that land of Sangria, Laughs and Sun!!
