A tragic tale our Cora told,
About a dog who had grown old.
To all the family a precious friend,
And just today his life did end.
Beneath the tree he'll eternally sleep,
But memories in their hearts they keep.
Old Dumpy-dog, we think of you,
Old faithful, lovely dog so true.
What a life you almost had,
At the hands of humans, (most are bad).
Thank God you found a lovely place,
To live among the Human Race.
So, rest in peace dear Dumpy-dog,
I'm sure you're resting close to God,
Your heart we know was pure and strong,
One day soon we'll come along.
And ruff your lovely head again,
And wipe out sorrow, also pain,
There is no Heaven or Paradise
Without our pets to make it nice.
