Golden days I now recall....
Happy - carefree - childhood days,
Long hot summers and Matinees!

Of Poppy fields and Evergreens!

Together - always hand in hand
How we often schemed and planned
To stand together just we two -

As we grew up and as we grew tall
We used to laugh as we'd recall
How we as children laughed or cried
At the stories told at our bedside!

On a pretty hand I had placed a ring
You were lost for words - couldn't say a thing?
You had held me close - held my hand so tight
And we talked and talked all through the night!

All those wedding plans for me and you -
We booked the church...the reception too!
In front of our family we made each vow
And our special bond never changed somehow!

Remember now - will we ever forget....
That double wedding we shared that day
When we proudly gave each other away?
All our lives by each other we've stood
As together we've grown into adulthood!
Though old and feeble....
I still remember....
I loved you then and I love you yet!
We're still brother and sister so don't forget
